Directions from the airport

Travel time between Cairns Airport and Shangri-La The Marina is approximately 10-15 minutes by car.

Taxis and rideshare services are available immediately outside the arrivals area at both the Domestic and International terminals.

Parking

The venue offers valet parking with unlimited entry and exit for AUD $40 per day; for cars under 1.9 meters in height.

Complimentary wireless internet access will be available throughout the conference. Login details will be provided at the Registration Desk.

PLEASE NOTE: Internet access must not be used to view or download illicit material, including movies or music.

Dietaries

If you have advised CASANZ of any special dietary requirements, these have been provided to the catering team. A dedicated buffet area will be available for special diets.

Certificate of attendance

Certificates of attendance will be issued post-conference via email.

I am a speaker or chairperson, what should I do?

Please present to the Registration Desk at least one hour prior to your scheduled session. Speakers may upload or update their

presentations on arrival.

Chairpersons will receive session guidelines prior to the conference.

I am a poster presenter, what should I do?

Please bring your printed poster with you and be available during the poster session to discuss your work with delegates.

Photographs, videos, and recording

Delegates are not permitted to photograph, video, or record conference sessions unless prior written permission has been granted by CASANZ.

Can registrations be shared?

Registrations cannot be shared. If a registered delegate is unable to attend, a substitute may attend in their place.


Substitutions must be advised in writing via email to: conference@casanz.org.au

How to cancel/amend my registration

All cancellations and amendments must be submitted in writing to CASANZ. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the cancellation terms outlined in the conference terms and conditions.

Can I register now and pay onsite or after the conference?

No. All registration fees must be paid in full prior to the conference commencing.

Can I bring a guest?

All attendees at the 2026 CASANZ Conference must be registered.

Additional tickets for the Gala Dinner and Welcome Reception may be purchased during the registration process.

COVID-19 & Health Safety Policy

At CASANZ, the health and well-being of our conference attendees remain a top priority. We are committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment while minimising the risk of virus transmission, including COVID-19 and seasonal illnesses.

What You Can Do:

  • Feeling Unwell? If you experience any symptoms of illness, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending conference sessions or events.
  • Testing: Delegates are encouraged to carry and use rapid tests if feeling unwell. Testing helps reduce the risk of transmission.
  • Masks: While not mandatory, the use of N95 masks is recommended, particularly in crowded areas. Please bring a supply of masks if you wish to wear one.
  • Vaccination: We strongly encourage all delegates to stay up to date with their vaccinations, including booster doses.
  • Minimising Contact: CASANZ promotes a “no-touch” policy to reduce physical contact where possible.
  • Hygiene Practices: Please practice good hand hygiene and utilise the sanitisation stations provided throughout the venue.


If you begin to feel unwell during the conference, we ask that you take necessary precautions, such as distancing yourself from sessions and social events.

CASANZ will gather and record information necessary for your attendance at the conference. Personal information will be gathered, stored and

disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

Any of the trademarks, service marks, collective marks, design rights or similar rights that are mentioned, used or cited in the documents, papers and articles remain the property of their respective owners. Their use in these documents does not imply that you may use them for any other
